Happy Hour with John and Sue

Every Friday or Saturday, we show you how to make delicious cocktails! Field trips too taking you to fun locations! We've been married for 30 years and, well, it shows sooo thinking you may have fun watching too 😉 All vids on YouTube via site link.

Happy Holidays, everyone! We’re back with a Christmas-themed holiday cocktail show to help us all celebrate the season. We hope you, your family, and your friends have a wonderful holiday! We’ll be back soon with another themed Happy Hour. Maybe even a New Year’s edition 😉Here’s the recipes:Christmas Martini 2 oz vodka1 oz raspberry liqueur (Chambord)1 oz crème de cacao blanc1 sprig rosemaryAdd ice and all ingredients to a shaker and shake well. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a sprig of rosemary. Enjoy!Creamy Christmas Cocktail1.5 oz vodka1.5 oz amaretto1.5 oz heavy whipping creamFreshly grated nutmeg, for garnishChill a martini or coupe glass. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice, shake until cold, and strain into the chilled glass. Grate a little nutmeg on top and enjoy!---Here’s the app I whipped up and mentioned during the show. It’s my cure for decision fatigue and my new personal assistant. I don’t want to figure out dinner, chase 150 grams of protein, fix bad habits, style my own closet, or remember hair and makeup tricks that actually work for me. So, I whipped up this app. It already knows me. It’s not chatty. No prompting, no blank page, no five different apps. I also added a little tarot and crystal-ball magic, and end of the day wind-down features. One app, morning to night.Feel free to give it a whirl! It’s still evolving, but I’d love your feedback: beautyplease.comTheme song by Anneda Music ... See MoreSee Less

Hi everyone, happy weekend! 🍸 Today’s Happy Hour is all about the ultimate dirty martini. We started out with our usual Absolut vodka, a bottle of dry vermouth that had been open a little too long and some grocery store olive brind. Then we decided to step things up with premium vodka (Grey Goose), freshly opened vermouth, and top-quality olives with rich brine. It took a few rounds of tasting, but the premium mix was absolutely worth it, smooth, crisp, and every bit as fabulous as the dirty martinis we had at a Michelin-starred restaurant in San José del Cabo. Here’s John’s method: 2 ounces vodka, ⅓ ounce vermouth, and ⅓ ounce olive brine, shaken not stirred until icy cold, then served with those beautiful premium olives. And for snacks, we went with garlic-stuffed olives and crunchy almonds, the perfect pairing.Have a fabulous week ahead and we'll see you again next week! Hope you've been having a fab summer! ...
